BHP MEDICAL
CLINIC HAITI
Located in north Haiti, BHP Medical Clinic Haiti supports the small village of Balan and its neighboring villages through quality, family medicine.
A FAMILY MEDICINE CLINIC IN HAITI.
A capital campaign is underway to fund the continued operating costs of the BHP Medical Clinic in Balan, Haiti. The family medicine clinic offers quality health care to a village without affordable, local options. BHP Medical Clinic is run and staffed by a team of Haitian professionals. Current fundraising needs include funding for operating costs at current staffing, as well as to hire additional staff, as patient counts continue to rise. The clinic/community building requires maintenance and repairs. Our vision is to maintain the existing shared-space community building we're in, while looking for and fundraising for a more permanent clinic home.
FROM THE DIRECTOR.

BHP Medical Clinic is the medical center in north Haiti that provides medical care in the small village of Balan. Here we started work formally in October of 2019, but before that we worked in a mobile clinic, where we saw how much people needed health care. After we analyzed the area, the Brown Horse board and I decided to come and help in a more permanent way. Since we opened BHP Medical Clinic Haiti, many people welcome us with love. We treat our patients well. We just charge a little fee for all services: consultation, lab exam and medications, all for 750 gourdes (about $5.74). But at BHP, even the patients who can't pay come to see us and we take care of them with love. We work five days a week, Monday through Friday, and hope someday to add more staff and medical specialists as more and more patients come for care.
We do Bible education and medical education before we start seeing patients. We work together with community leaders, that help us know about needs in the village. We provide community health education as well. We see elderly and people with disabilities for free. I thank God that the feedback of what we offer in the community is positive. We hope in the future God will bless us more, so we can share with these amazing people. Thank you for trusting in our organization.
